Vic: Serach to resume for missing yachtsman
Searchers have failed to find the missing captain of a yacht that ran aground on Victoria's
far east coast yesterday.
There's still no sign of the New South Wales man aged in his 60s, despite continuing
searches around Point Hicks, about 70 km east of Orbost, where the yacht was found.
Beach walkers discovered the nine-metre fibreglass vessel, Aquarius, about 12.45pm yesterday.
Police say the last confirmed sighting of the yacht before was at Refuge Cove at Wilson's
Promontory, on Victoria's south-east coast.
It's believed the sailor, whose identity is known to police, was heading for Eden on
the New South Wales south coast.
